The Definition of Higher Criticism
High criticism came around as a wayof understanding the text. It divides it into multiple sources, initially as j e d p were the sources. But his saying that underlying the text, there's the historical texts that we don't have access to, we've never seen. He appeals to some of these hiher critical scholars but he just sort of says, some form of this is what we use.
