Lee Chun-Jae - The Hossang Serial Killer

Lee Chun-Jae was arrested in 1994 as the prime suspect in his sister-in-law's murder. He confessed to killing 14 women and girls over a six-year period, along with almost 30 carnal assaults. The Hossang serial killer apparently ceased to operate after he was sentenced to death for that crime. It would take 25 more years before police were able to link him to all of the other victims. Before it was even solved, this case became the basis for a popular South Korean movie directed by Bong-Joon Ho - same guy who directed Parasite.
