Other people have postulated that it's coming up from the gut through the vagus nerve. So no matter where this alpha-synuclein misfolded protein business starts, it does make its way to the brainEventually patients with Parkinson's often will go on to develop cognitive impairment. And then we know that there are other neurotransmitters that are affected in Parkinson's.
