Envy Is Not a Good Thing

Systematic redistribution of wealth, yes, we do need something like that. To make envy into the criterion of justice is to run counter to the whole western philosophical tradition. People can still be envious of each other even after all their basic needs and then some are cared for. There'e a lot of unanswered questions here in the dork and scenario. Also, he supposes there're just a bunch of goods lying around on the desert island for people to bid on. But who produce them? And why would somebody produce these goods if equal distribution is going to occur? What would be the incentive to produce anything if then there's going to be an auction with equal distribution?
