Humming Birds - Is There a Food Aspect?

The ruby throated humming bird makes tiny nests for their young. They collect weird things like animal bones and little ves, then get spiders webs to hold them together. The idea is that the spider's web not only holds it together, but as the humming bird chicks get bigger within the nest, it can expand with them. I really want a pair of trousers made of spiders. Some humming birds catch insects in air as well as drinking from flowers. And there are some insects that eat them, like premantices can eat humming birds. Sometimes wasps will attack them and stuff like that.
