Mary Carr: I wonder if the obsession with money has to do with the increasing cost of things that disappear into the middle class. Mary Carr: People with vast amounts of money are in pain and need the gospel just as much than those who don't have it. She says there's this beautiful in between places that the three of us are fortunate enough to live in where we do have all of our basic needs met. The most privileged person in listening to this podcast has suffered the tortures of the damned and is in just as much in need of God's grace as the one who doesn't have it, she adds.
