I think that the thing with creativity for me, particularly at this juncture in my life, is that it's its own reward. If i put the pen to the page and try and risk even if i think i sound a little silly, i then i stop feeling so lonely. More than anything else, attention is an act of connection. I learn this the way i have learned most things, quite by accident.

Julia Cameron is an American teacher, author, artist, poet, playwright, novelist, filmmaker, and much more. She is best known for her book, “The Artist’s Way.“
