Harambe's Lessons Learned Over the Past 10 Years

Harambe's network is 63% female, 99% black and socioeconomic status in terms of how you classify quite significantly excluded youth. We really wanted to address our understanding of excluded youth and we had some survey questions designed where our young people who man the call centers were asking questions about the young people. Quite quickly we realized that the questions being asked weren't helpful or effective. And so listening to young people to even simple exercises gathering data is really important. Your solution is not going to be perfect for every context so fall in love with the problem not with your solution.
