I don't, I think there's very few geographic features that make most types of technological progress likely to happen in one area versus another. Technology has much more to do with the society's institutions and incentives for innovation. There have been some recent theories,. particularly on Britain's industrialization that play, that were, that claim the culture played a role, especially in enlightenment culture. And I think that those theories are somewhat convincing.
