The Fundamental Layering of a Grid
Goche: Supply and demand have to be in balance, because if they get out of balance, then you start creating operational problems on the grid. So it's important for the operator of that system to have procedures in place, control mechanisms, sensing devices, et cetera,. Goche: How can those devices essentially not only use the grid to provide what they need, but also provide services back to the grid? If i have a battery facility and it can discharge energy to help relieve teak load on the system, well that device can now participate in the market and actually provide services and earn a revenue stream from doing that. And we could have vehicle charging stations that are work place
