Ettory's Return to the World of Science

Ettory is best known for his paper outlining the role of the neutrino. He returned to science in 1938, but didn't get a teaching job at an Italian university. The University of Naples offered him a professorship and larger than common salary. For Ettory, the position must have felt like he was starting anew.
