Waffle House and Racism
A black customer said she was locked outside of a Waffle House in Alabama while they continued serving white customers. Anthony Wall, the young man in the tuxedo, was bringing his younger sister to prom that night. A Waffle House employee allegedly seated their party at a table that hadn't been cleaned and they got into an argument. Despite the fact that police should be able to de-escalate these types of conflicts, they obviously did not. It's so important to recognize that these fights have become deadly before. In 2019, a man was shot to death after using racial slurs and one employee has defended himself with a gun. These aren't a few drunk idiots throwing punches or pancakes
