How to Compare an Air Fryer to a Microwave

An oven is going to be probably a thousand 2000 watts and a microwave is a thousand watts. A microwave gives you consistent heat, whereas an oven is warming up to top temperature and then topping it up so it isn't using full wattage the whole time. Each additional object you're cooking in a microwave, you'll need to keep it on longer because the microwave just heats the individual object. If we give one more example, if you had a thousand watt microwave and you put it on for 10 minutes, well, that's one kilowatt hour, it's 34p, but it's only 10 minutes, which is a sixth of that. So it's six p turning the microwave
