The Importance of Profitability in the High Interest Rate Environment
I think profitability is important in this new high interest rate environment. The lack of profitability can go out of style sometimes when the market gets really heady. I wouldn't bet the ranch that profitability doesn't matter through the fullness of an economic cycle or a market cycle. You have to understand that prices what you pay, but value is what you get. And that's margin of safety.
