The Intermediate Mass Range for Black Hole?
There's a limit due to the sizes of stars. We call ther intermediate mass range for black holes. The biggest star you can have is about 300 times the mass of our sun. You try to make a star bigger than that, remember we talked about this on an episode about the biggest stars in the universe. They blow themselves apart because as the star gets bigger nd the inside of it gets higher pressure.
