Virus is good at invading and replicating within not just our respiratory epithelium, but also in our white blood cells. In general, the incubation period is about two weeks. It can be from 10 to 20 days after exposure to when you first start to show symptoms. Around 60 to 90% of susceptible household contacts are likely to become infected.
