i grew up in richmond, virginia, so i fell in love with drawing from comics and cartoons. It just seemed like it would be impossible. I'd have to move to l a or something like that. When the inner net arrived, those early animations looked kind of flash like, they looked computer. They didn't look right to me. And then it was discovering making gifts in photo shop, where you could just scan drawings, you know, and press play for 12 frames per second and make a gift.
