Eli's Discipline

Haphne and Phineas were taking from the sacrifice that belonged to the Lord. They would also lay with women and have sexual relations with them before the tabernacle of the Lord. What Eli does is he just corrects them and then lets them be. He doesn't actually follow through with his discipline. His charges responsibility. Now the blessing will pass away from your house and in your family and your father's family and go to a different family. And that's what's going to happen in the next couple chapters as we move forward in this first book of Samuel.
