Introduction

There are serious side effects to trucks in urban areas, especially when the aging fleet isn't keeping up with the latest technologies. The average age of a truck here is 15 years old. We're behind the rest of the world with respect to pollution standards and carbon emissions. And we have this pointless regulation so that trucks have to be 2% narrower than the global norm. That makes it unnecessarily difficult to import the full international range of trucks with the best pollution-reducing and safety technology.
