How Does Daniel's Timeline Work?

In the second half of the book, you get a bunch of very big picture prophecy. Daniel again is summoned to interpret something that nobody else can figure out. Jesus himself references back to some of this material when he's giving a discourse about what's going to happen in the end of time toward the end of the book of Matthew.
