Jameson Ross' new album Jammo was picked by someone in the Strong Songs Discord. He's a great songwriter and a serious vocalist, but he just also happens to be really good at drums too. It takes a lot of coordination and focus to be able to play a song just basically in time - especially if you're playing with a band. But I do think there's kind of a difference between drumming and playing other standard rock instruments like bass, guitar, and piano.

Tim Howes is a doctor and saxophonist based in Bristol, UK. He started on sax at age 10, playing Beatles and Stones covers in a school band, then became obsessed with jazz theory as a teenager, tracing how jazz harmony flows through other musical styles. Sax playing eventually took a backseat to studying and practicing medicine, but he has passed his love of music on to his kids. (And he still sounds pretty great, in my opinion! ~K)
