The Gnomes Are Not Humans, but Those Can Fly
Finch told the chickadee everything she knew about gnomes. She decided to keep waiting for a real, live gnome that might come along. Days went by and no gnomes came to the little house. Finch tried to imagine how they would enter the house. It didn't seem safe. Those couldn't fly. Like humans, they have useless, featherless arms. Why would their home be hanging in a tree? But the crackle had said so, and the crackle seemed to know what he was talking about. Out of the corner of her eye she saw something move. The two small people were gazing outside at the little house in the tree. They were watching too
