The Psychology of Trauma

When a child is orphaned or abused in unspeakable ways, it traumatizes the child in a way that is very hard to ever overcome. You can be interacting with a guy who's in a 50 year old body and seems like he should be a normal adult. He just has no emotional regulation and trace it back. And man, as there are more screwed up adult human being than that, I mean, that's a good recipe for destruction.
