Introduction

With 100% of votes counted, the Congress has won 136 seats out of 224 and that's 56 seats more than during the last election in 2018. The BJP secured 64 seats which is a 40 seat drop and the JDS 120 seats which is 17 seats less than 2018. Even those who thought Congress will do well did not see barring one or two local websites which actually got it. I think this has been quite unprecedented since 1989. It shows a very clear wave and a very strong anti-imcompensy and also that the BJP's calculations have gone wrong.
