Luciano had immigrated to the United States and settled on the lower east side of New York City, Manhattan at the age of 10. He became a member of the notorious five points gang which started off with Irish American members in the late 19th century. Luciano joins the gang not because he's into the aesthetics or the habodashery, but more so like many young people, there aren't a lot of alternatives,. There's a lot of discrimination in the community.
