The Nature of OCD
Philip Lerman: OCD is nothing more than a malfunctioning signal in the brain. He says it's akin to being locked in a black room with a rattlesnake in the background and not knowing where the snake is or whether it might strike. The themes obviously that OCD attaches themselves to are often ridiculous, meaningless, bizarre and very irrelevant but people behave more in accordance with how they're feeling he says.
