The Basic Skill of a Description of Space
When you give a description of the physical space when you're transitioninto a new scene in a new location. The basic skill there is quickly, and without wasting time, giving enough of a sense of the space that the reader isn't confused as to where we are. But then there are all of these secondary, higher level things that a description of space can be doing. For me, thinking of concentrating on high level writing, crashership, and losing track of simpler stuff had me thinking a lot about how to do it.
