Never before has the environmental issue played such an important role in public opinion during one electoral cycle. This may be the very first time that the Amazon is in the news every day. Lula de Silva is without a doubt the greenest candidate in this election. He has pledged to create a ministry for indigenous affairs. The planet needs us to pay special attention. We need to look after our forest, our fauna, our water. But most of all, we need to looks after our people.
