How to Set Your Attention in Deliberate Ways

The way we reset this capacity to set our attention in very deliberate ways is absolutely in sleep, both through neurochemical mechanisms and by a second mechanism, which is the tether becomes loose. In sleep, space and time are totally fluid. We need periods of time every 24 hours where we're not setting our attention to anything. When you wake up, right, now that tether can be reset, you have the ability again. It's like you've recovered your mental capacity.
