Pauper's Three Worlds
Pauper's three worlds is basically what you just said, slightly different. The first world is the physical world; the second world is subjective knowledge. Third world is objective knowledge: books, theories and things that in humans, or possibly animals, create - but they have to interact with each other through a process called 'constructove theory' I don't know if we count an animal mind as conscious because there has to be something happening in the world for it to happen.
