The metrics are more to do with that kind of initial explosive growth of adoption. How you approach a critical feature that's been around forever is very different to how you will bring a new product to life. Identifying that upfront is really, really important because if you're trying to measure it based on the kinds of things that you would measure a long-standing product for years, like you're measuring the wrong thing.
