The Importance of Direct Action Abortion Access

Abortion is not just a women's issue. Plenty of people who are not women can get pregnant and might not want to be whether that's some trans men, some non-binary people, and some intersex people. The history of the limitation of abortion access is entirely entangled with the history of misogyny and with denying us agency. Some religious groups teach that life begins at conception or at quickening, which is when a person first feels the baby moving halfway through pregnancy. Other religions and other cultures say it starts around seven months before viability. Abortion has been a contentious issue since forever. And sometimes it's like on an individual level, you have to think about morality in different ways.
