The Lack of Evidence on Blood Pressure Targets and Transitioning to Oral Antihypertensive Agents

This chapter discusses the lack of evidence on blood pressure targets and introduces the 'goose chase principle' which suggests that if there is no high level evidence supporting a therapeutic target, we don't need to obsess over achieving it precisely. It also explains how lowering systemic vascular resistance can unmask underlying hypovolemia in patients with low blood pressure.
