Each year for a young athlete I would creep up the volume slowly. Sam started with me when he was 16 and did his first probably 18 months running no more than about 40 or 50k a week. So it'd be super easy just to chuck big miles at a menu, probably run better but that's not the way to develop a young guy like that. He would just crush his speed and his athleticism.
