Eviction Blockades and Eviction Defense
i think there's like two things here. One that's eviction defense sort of the way shanty was describing it as sort of just like a process intervention and one that's emergency direct actions or eviction blockades which are different from eviction defense. All of those tactics are incredible opportunities for people to feel a lot of power you really can get a landlord to give up basically. I also think that that stuff can be really really hard to scale if you don't have a really robust volunteer infrastructure. That's what really starts to lack in organizations that end up relying on service models to drive their organizing.
