How to See Parallax Shifts With the Fixed Stars

A parallax shift is the way an object's location appears to shift depending on where you're viewing it from. The fixed stars are too far away to see parallax shifts with the naked eye, but we can use them to triangulate how far a planet is in its orbit. Inventor archimedes estimated that the universe would be about two light years across and one vigentilion grains of sand were needed to fill up the entire universe.
