The Different Types of LDADs

An LDAD stands for Left Ventricular Assist Device. These devices support circulation by unloading the left ventricle. They provide increased cardiac output to help support organ perfusion in a quality of life and survival. The current device, the heartmate 3, does have speed modulation where it will increase and decrease speed at a certain frequency.
