The Importance of Hydrogen Heating
Hydrogen could play a very important role in stabilizing the grid once we move to deep penetration of variable renewables. But if you gave it to me, I'd probably burn it centrally and use the electricity. The last thing I'd want to do is put it into cars or put it into every heating gas network at that point. You need a lot more offshore wind farms if you want to go with hydrogen heating.
