Do You Think That the Toppling of This Statue Was Morally Justified?
I'm not happy with the way of using force and violence in order to effect change. When there are democratic processes available, then it is right and proper for people to take extra legal processes. I mean, it was very right to try and assassinate adolph hitler, and it would not be right to trying and assassinate a british prime ter. So as a historian, you're aware that history is never settled. Much of it remains open to interpretation and revision as new information emerges. But i suppose you kow, going back to the democracy issue, isn't sometimes direct action an empowering mode of disruption? Well, i don't think democratic norms have failed. If government is
