The History of Menahim in Assyria
Shalom lasted about a single month until overthrown by one Menahim. The Assyrians kept Menahim on the throne for ten years. In his inscriptions, Tiglath Pileza III refers to him as Menahim of the city of Samaria. This might indicate that Menahim controlled only Samaria and its surrounds in the hill country.
