The Trial Speech of Apollydorus
Apollydorus was a prosperous, but low born athenian citizen. His father had begun life as a slave and he made friends with his closest neighbor. Nicostratus ran into terrible luck when trying to track down some runaway slaves. He was himself captured by pirates and held for ransom on the island of agena.
