A popular idea in our culture is that animals don't have souls, or at least they don't have the kinds of souls that can survive death. Did McDougal ever run this kind of experiment on animals? He did, he also ran it on dogs. The tests on dogs were evitiated by the use of two drugs, administered to secure the necessary quiet and freedom from struggle so necessary to keep the beam at balance. It was not my fortune to get dogs dying from such sickness.
