Seven years on from the referendum when 52% voted to leave and 48% didn't. In 2017 and 2019, more people that voted remain turned out at the ballot box than those who voted leave. A lot of people voting in the referendum was like a one election. It was the only time they really wanted to come out and since then they stayed home. They are just not that as involved with the system anymore.
