The Unanswerable Question

Every place Rambo was once he discards a few things because they're not what he needed. There are some incredible daytime nighttime liberties taken in the last 20 minutes of this film. I think they should have rooted it in like 1977 would have made more sense. It feels like also he might have snapped before this. That's my question.
