A leading country player, Mr. C. Kite, writes us that the feeling among the western district clubs is distinctly in favor of a country chess association. Our correspondent suggests that a match country versus Sydney might be arranged. The standard this morning suggests that a chess match by cable should be arranged to take place between a team from the House of Commons and an Australian parliamentary team.
