Long-Distance Relationships in Tanzania

Tanzania is fairly well known for de-emphasizing sort of tribal affiliations so in national surveys when Tanzanians are asked to identify themselves I think like 97% of them the first thing is say is I'm Tanzanian. But those long-distance relationships may also play a role in thinking about sort of inner ethnic conflict and cooperation because again it's relationships also crossing group boundaries but here it's mostly community and distance boundaries.
