The charity mind estimates that some 7 million of us took up gardening during the pandemic. A study by the University of California found that spending more time in gardening was therapeutic, bringing a heightened sense of joy and reassurance. Around the same time, I began rereading Michael Ward's Magisterial Planet Narnia. And his thesis that each of the Narnia's stories is aligned through careful creation of atmosphere to one of the medieval planets.
