Germans are in a very tricky situation because they're trying to change where they get such a huge amount of their gas supply at the last minute, and finding that they don't have many viable alternatives. It speaks a heck of a lot that the green party coalitionis seriously considering reopening the coal mines. There are already reports from germany, from italy, that the resources from russia to these european countries are slowing already. And essentially, who's going to blink first? Who's going to decide that they can't bear the pain any more? i personally worry that western leaders haven't been honest enough with their public about what we've really sin up to
