The Bias in the Mental Health Profession
The power of labels and the confirmation bias that once you have a theory about something, you just find the evidence to fit it. This is true in the mental health profession. We know from Robert Rosenhans famous experiment in the late 60s. The staff was predisposed to automatically assume or believe these people had some sort of psychological trouble.
