The Importance of Self-Driven Goals in Simulation Games

"I get the most joy in a lot of simulation games that are very sandboxy and are very toy like, like, give just enough structured goals," he says. "So I bounced off of factorial and I got super into satisfactory." The game allows you to draw 3D conveyor belts on splines with spaghetti-like shapes. It's an open-ended environment where players can do whatever they want.
